Makeup for Latin Women : IMAN " Second to none Cream to Powder Foundation "

Hello Everyone, today I bring you one of my newest foundations. It is IMAN's "Second to none Cream to Powder Foundation" that I have been trying for a little over two months. The brand IMAN is sort of new for me but it was actually launched in 1994, and it was created for women of color and multicultural skin tones.

I have been trying Sand 3 and Sand 4 and because of their similarities I interchange them depending on whether I have a bit of sun or not.

The foundation is very creamy and it slides nice on the skin; I like to use it with a damp sponge or a flat synthetic brush. I also try my flat kabuki brushes from Sigma and Bdellium tools, but they did not work very well with it.

It's a full coverage foundation, so be careful with how much you use because if you happen to use too much in a area it can look heavy. I feel like it lasts around 8 hours, and after that I find that it moves a little bit around my oily areas (nose and forehead). To avoid this I seal the foundation around my my T zone with a powder and the retouch after a long day only in the areas that I need to.

With a matte finish this foundation works on normal and combination to oily skin. But if your skin is extremely oily, I would not recommend this cream formula, you may want to stick to liquid or powder foundations.

  1. Too bad it doesn't work for oily skin! It would have been nice to try a foundation geared towards women of color.
